Isaiah 54:9-10

“For this is as the waters of Noah unto me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.”

Are you feeling that the reason you are not seeing the blessings of God manifest in your life is due to some failure on your part? If so, it’s time to change the way you think.

The scripture says “For this is as the waters of Noah unto me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee or rebuke thee. “ This means that God is not angry with you neither is he withholding anything from you to punish you. Why would God go to His extreme (in the death of the cross) and give us His only begotten Son and then turn around and say, I’m not going to give you the basic necessities of life? Or I’m not going to give you the Job you need, the promotion you desire, or heal your body after crushing His Son at the cross? God would not do that. It was enough at Calvary. It was because He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities that we have the covenant of His peace which He says shall not be removed (Isa. 53:5).

Whenever we blame our failures for what we are not receiving from God, the devil has succeeded in his plan against us. His plan of course is to separate us from our source of power. Therefore, if he can in anyway cause you to focus on yourself and not Christ, he has succeeded in his plan.

God said “For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee…” No matter what happens in life God’s kindness and favor shall not depart from us. This is right thinking which leads to right believing and right believing says God is a good God. Right believing is a good opinion of God. Therefore, don’t confuse your wait for denial rest in God’s covenant of peace with you and believe.

Praise Him Now!

Psalms 34:1

“I will bless the Lord at all times His praise shall continuously be in my mouth”

One of the meanings of the word bless is to empower to prosper.  Therefore, when we bless the Lord we empower Him to prosper us.  When God blesses us He empowers us to prosper in life and when we bless Him we empower Him to prosper us in life.  It’s a win, win situation.

Praise removes doubt, and fear.  Just think it’s impossible to be afraid when you are praising God.  The two cannot co-exist.  Either you’re praising God or you’re fearful.  And if you’re fearful, you’re not praising God.  Yes, we can pray when we are fearful but it is impossible to remain fearful if you’re praising God.  Here’s why, praise causes the Spirit of God to rise up within you and lift you up from the physical realm to the spiritual where the mundane things of earth can’t reach you.  Praise gives you the right perspective; God becomes greater than your problems when you praise Him.  If the children of Israel had maintained their level of praise, when they got to the red sea Moses may not have had to part the sea, maybe they would have all walked upon the sea praising God.  The Egyptians would have tried to do it and would have drowned.  But instead they went out of Egypt jubilant but lost their praise alone the way.  They were robbed of their praise.  That generation died in the wilderness because they didn’t believe God to possess the land.  But if they had been praising God they would have had the faith to enter the promise land.  Praise removes doubt because praise reinforces your faith.  “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” (Rom. 10:17).  The more you speak words of praise the more faith enters and the more faith, the more power, the more power, the more “God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that  you ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Eph. 3:20).

Beloved, what have you allowed the devil to use to rob you of your praise when Jesus has given you the victory?  Is it the cares of this life? Have you been working to many hours trying to get ahead? Do you find yourself looking back and remembering how on fire with praise you once were?  If so, don’t waste another moment in such a lukewarm state.  Fan the flame of the Holy Spirit within you.  Give God your best praise now.  When you do you will find all doubts and fears will be gone and you will empower God to prosper you and He will empower you to prosper as you bless Him.

Introduced To Love

Romans 5:8

“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

The word commendeth means to place together or introduce on person to another.  When we were at our absolute worst God introduced us to His love.

The love of God is power.  Its power to change your condition whatever it may be.  Love is the power to change ashes to beauty, pain to joy, loneliness to comfort, sickness to health, poverty to riches and confusion to peace. Whatever your condition Love is the remedy.

Notice what God did when we were at our worst He introduced us to His love and what was once unrighteous was made righteous by love. Even in the beginning when God wanted to see change He used Love.  The world was created by Love.

Do you know that you can do the same thing?  You can change any adverse situation in your life by using love.  Not your love but God’s love and God’s love is Jesus Christ.  When you introduce your problems to Jesus they have to flee.

Now you might be saying “I’ve got some people I’d like to change.”  Well, the love remedy works on all kinds of people.  If you are a believer you can testify to that.  One day you were  ”…fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others” (Ephesians 2:3). Then one day you were introduced to love and were made alive together with Christ.  Your condition changed you moved from death to life, from darkness to light.  No matter how bad they may seem just introduce them to love, introduce them to Jesus because He is the power of God to salvation.  “…Freely you have received, freely give” (Matt. 10:8).

Jesus Christ is the remedy.  It’s His beauty for your ashes, His joy for your pain, His comfort for your loneliness, His body for your sickness, His riches for your poverty, His peace for your confusion, His life for your life.  Use Him and watch your condition change.

Think Like Sons And Daughters

Romans 8:15 “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba Father.”

When Jesus died on the cross for us He not only made a way for us to become sons and daughters of God but He also adopted us or positioned us adult sons and daughters.

Paul says in Galatians 4:1, “Now I say, that the heir as long as he is a child differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.” In other words, if we had remained as mere children we would not be able to lay hold on all that we have inherited as joint-heirs with Christ. It means that what Christ has would be ours but we would have to wait to come of age to get it. But being the Father that He is He wanted us to freely take and receive all that He died for us to have right now, at the moment we receive Jesus as Lord of our lives.

Look at the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32), the father gave them both their inheritance, the younger son spent His, and the elder son got angry when the father received him home and dressed him and threw him a party. The elder son tells his father, I’ve been with you all this time and have done all that you’ve asked but you never threw me a party. The father says to him “…Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine” (Luke 15:31).

The elder son could have done whatever he wanted to do with what was rightfully his because he was an adult son. He was at the age whereby he could receive his inheritance but instead he held on to a child mentality. He was waiting for his father to give to him what was already given.

I Corinthians 13:11, says “when I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

Child of God, don’t allow the enemy to deceive you for enjoying your inheritance right now. You don’t have to wait until you get to heaven to enjoy your inheritance. You have been placed as adult Sons and daughters of God and through Christ have been made heirs of all things now and in the life to come.

Having The Right Perspective

II Corinthians 4:17
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”

A telescope is something that is used to bring an object closer to view. However, in other to see that object you must look through the small end of the telescope. At first glance it might appear that looking through the larger end would give you better results but not true. Looking through the larger end of the telescope makes the object so large that you don’t get the full picture. Likewise, when we focus our attention on the sufferings and afflictions that we must endure for the sake of the gospel, we’re looking through the wrong end of the telescope. Therefore, we’re not getting the full picture we’re not seeing the glory that awaits us.

I Peter 4:12 says “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”

Listen, he’s not just talking about His glory when Christ returns but His glory right now that awaits us on the other side of every affliction and persecution we face. As a matter of fact that’s why we face them because of the word of God (Matt. 13:21).

When we focus our eyes upon Jesus we see that His glory out weights any affliction that we might endure. Focusing our attention upon Jesus puts things in the right perspective. Therefore, rejoice because if you are a partaker of Christ’s sufferings you are a partaker of His glory.
