Mark 7:37

“And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; He maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.”

I’ve heard many people say and have even said so myself that “He may not come when you want Him but He’s always on time.”  Of course this statement is not scriptural and therefore not true. Psalms 46:1 says “God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble” which means He’s always on time because He’s always there.

However, we all have experienced times in our lives when we feel as though God is late or too late.  Like Martha who thought Jesus was too late when she said “Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died” (John 11:21).  Or like Sarah who thought God was late when she told Abraham to go unto her maid even though God had told them they who conceive a child (Gen. 16:2).   God is never late or too late.  His plans are always right and on time because He does all things well.

To the man that had been blind from birth Jesus was passing by at the right time He was neither late nor too late (John 9:1).  To the woman at the well who had been through five husbands Jesus sat down at the right time in the right place neither late nor too late (John 4:7).  God’s timing is always right, His works always perfect. Nothing ever be added to it.  He completely saves, and completely heals. He even takes care of things we don’t know about.  He told the woman with the issue of blood “Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” (Mk 8:48).  Not your blood has stopped but your faith hath made thee whole. Even the areas in her life she didn’t know need healing He healed.

Therefore, don’t be discouraged today in thinking that God is late or too late for you.  He wasn’t too late for Martha nor was He late for Abraham and Sarah.  Trust God, He is your very present help never late or too late but always on time to work a perfect miracle in your life.
