blood, blood of Jesus, power, shut in, shut up, substance, uncontainable

Exodus 14:3

“For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, they are entangled in the land the wilderness hath shut them in.”

Nothing can shut the people of God in.  Pharaoh thought he had Israel between a rock and a hard place But God let Pharaoh know that His people are uncontainable because He is uncontainable.

The night before Israel came out of Egypt God instructed them to take a lamb without blemish and take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of their houses because He would pass through the land of Egypt that night and smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt both man and beast.  The blood would be a token upon their houses and when He saw the blood He would pass over them (Exd. 12:1-13).  When Pharaoh and all of Egypt rose up in the night and found all their firstborn dead he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said “rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said” (Exd. 12:31).  It was the blood of the Lamb that opened the doors of Egypt and set the people of God free and it was the blood of the Lamb that made a way for them in the wilderness.  When you are covered in the blood nothing can shut you in because the blood of Jesus is uncontainable.

When Peter was thrown in jail by Herod he was bound in chains between two soldiers and there were soldiers outside his cell. The enemy thought he had Peter shut in but Peter was covered in the blood.  The angel of the Lord came and led Peter out of that jail, right from between the soldiers pass the soldiers on the outside of his cell and out the front doors of the prison (Acts 12:1-19).  Peter couldn’t be contained because the blood of Jesus is uncontainable.

Where are you today, do you feel like you’re between a rock and a hard place?  Are you feeling like you’re shut in?  Does your situation look like there is no way out?  The blood of Jesus opens doors the blood of Jesus makes ways out of no way.  Don’t be distracted by the enemy, he can’t hold you in because he can’t hold the blood of Jesus in.  He tried and failed.  Jesus rose up with the keys of hell and death (Rev. 1:18).

Child of God you’re not just coming out, you’re coming out with power and substance.  You’re coming out with a high hand!

Life Of The Party!

blood, life of the party, Party, wine

St. John 2:3-4

“And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto Him, they have no wine.  Jesus saith unto her, Women what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come.”

Christ is the life of the party.  At the wedding of Cana when there was no wine, Mary told Jesus “they have no wine.”  What Jesus replied to her is most interesting.   What did Jesus mean when He said, “Women what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come.”

Well, wine represents the blood that Jesus would one day shed for us.  When Mary told Jesus “they have no wine” what this meant to Jesus was they have no life but it wasn’t yet time for Him to go to the cross and pour out His blood for all mankind.  However, to demonstrate what He would soon do.  He told the servants to fill the six water pots made of stone with water.  The number six is the number of man the stone pots and water represented how Christ would fill us with His Spirit and make us new creations in Him.  Jesus shedding His blood and giving us His life meant we would no longer be without life.  Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” And this all took place at a wedding, a place of covenant.  Jesus shedding His blood gave to us the new covenant of grace.

Therefore, when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you have his life.  Life here on planted earth is no longer a lifeless party filled with uncertainty and gloom.  But it’s filled with love, joy and peace because the life of the party is in the midst of you.  You lack nothing!

The Lord Is Our Shepherd

blood, Body, Drink, Eat, Flesh, Giver, Nourisher, provider, rest, Shepherd, supply

Psalms 23:1

“The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.”

The responsibility of the shepherd is to cause the flock to eat, drink and rest.   Jesus says in John 10:`11 “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”   His life is the diet of His sheep.

Jeremiah 23:4 says “And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord.”  And Jesus says in John 6:55-56 “For my flesh is meat indeed and my blood is drink indeed.  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.”  The sheep feed off of the Shepherd because the Shepherd gives them His life to feed upon.  His life is nourishment to the sheep.

However, the sheep must take in what the Shepherd gives.  As the sheep feed upon the shepherd’s life they find that they are not afraid or dismayed because of the things that are going on in the world neither do they lack anything.  That’s why David said “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want” he understood that the Lord was supplying all that he needed out of His life.   Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

When you are full of Jesus you have no room to take in fear, doubt, anxiety or stress.  The only thing you want to do is rest.  Feed upon Jesus and rest.

Issues Of Life

Mark 5:25-34

“And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years.”

When I look at this woman I see a woman who is not only physically sick, but spiritually sick as well.  Her physical sickness was an outcome of issues in her life that caused the blood or the life to leak out of her.  Leviticus 17:14 reads “the life of the flesh is in the blood.” Because this woman couldn’t find help for the issues in her life she began dying a slow painful death. She went to many doctors and spent all she had trying to stop the flow on her own, but the scripture says, “she was nothing bettered but rather grew worse.”

Many people today have allowed issues in their lives to drain the life out of them. Children that don’t act right, martial problems, financial problems; and when they go to the mirror they see a person similar to this woman, dried up covered up and leaking life. And now you’ve come to a place where like this woman you’re sick and tired. Sick and tired of dealing with the same thing over and over again. Maybe you haven’t exhausted all your resources, but you’ve gone to all your friends and family and still you can’t find help.

Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” When this woman heard about Jesus, one who could not only heal her body and rid her of those issues that were causing her pain but restore to her the life she had lost, she determined in her mind to touch him. She didn’t allow the crowd, the person on her left, the person on her right, her family, friends, or anyone to hinder her from touching Jesus. She focused all her heart on Jesus the one who could set her free.

Today, I challenge you to be free from the issues in your life and allow the Master to touch you in the areas of your need. I want you like this woman to focus all your heart upon Jesus reach out and touch him and be made whole. It’s just that simple.
