Many people are facing difficult times this holiday season.  Some are facing foreclosure  others are facing unemployment and some are facing divorce.  But in the midst of it all there is hope.  Hope is the expectation of change.  When there seems to be no expectation of things changing in the natural look to Jesus He is your expectation of Change He is your hope.

When Jesus is your hope it takes your expectation to an unlimited level.  It goes beyond what you can ever dream or imagine.  Abraham knew that there was no natural hope that he and Sarah would have a child his hope was limited in the natural but the scripture said, “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be” (Rom. 4:18).  Abraham looked to an unlimited power for his hope.

It doesn’t matter how dismal or unchangeable things look in the natural the power of God which is Jesus Christ has preeminence over all things in the natural.  You may have lost your home to foreclosure, and have concluded that there is no hope of getting it back or getting another one.  Hope against hope.  I know a women who lost her home to foreclosure and the house was sold at auction.  The new owners knocked on the door and told her that they now owned the house.  However, she didn’t give up she hope against hope.  Come to find out her home hadn’t been sold and she was able to maintain ownership.

Psalm 42:5 says, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.”  In other words, lift your head up and don’t let your heart be trouble or sad  Jesus is your hope and help.  He will cause an unchangeable situation to change.
