What God Has Given

gave, Give, given, land, Pay, promises, What God Has Given

“Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.” Joshua 1:3

Whatever God has given we don’t have to pay to receive.  All we need to do is to take it by faith.  And since we don’t have to pay for it, we don’t have to work for it.  It is given.

I think that one of the reasons why we are not taking it by faith is because we are still thinking as the world thinks.  The world’s way of receiving is that you must work for it.  I know you’ve heard the phrase “You can’t get something for nothing”.  Well, that’s the world’s way of thinking.  Romans 12:2 says, “and be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  God’s good and acceptable, and perfect will is for us to take all that He has given us by faith.

The world sets boundaries between you and what you want, need, and can do.  And those boundaries will always be based on your efforts or works.  But Christ came and removed the boundaries between us and our wants, needs and abilities.  The children of Israel going into the promise land was a foreshadow of what Christ would do for us.  They went into a land that flowed with milk and honey, a land that they didn’t have to work or pay for, a land where there were vineyards that they didn’t have to plant and houses that they didn’t have to build.  All they had to do was to take it by faith.  Unfortunately, of the twelve spies that Moses sent out to survey the land, only two received by faith.  The other ten only saw the boundaries.

Numbers 13:31:33

“But the men that went up with him said, we be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.  And they brought up and evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, the land, through which we have gone to search it is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great statue.  And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”

These ten men infected a generation of people with doubt and unbelief so that they missed out on that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God for their lives.

So how do we remove the boundaries?  We removed the boundaries by seeing what God has done for us through Christ.  Romans 8:32 says, “He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with Him also freely give us all things?” This takes care of our wants and needs and, Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” This takes care of our abilities.

Now, the only thing left for us to do is to take it.  We take it by declaring with thanksgiving that it is ours!

God’s Hands Are Open To You!

Luke 12:32
“Fear not little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
God wanted so much for you and I to be blessed that He gave us His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.  And the magnitude of His death is the magnitude of how much God wanted to receive.

God’s hands are open towards us, they are always open towards us. The gift that God gave continues to give and give and keeps on giving all you need to do is receive.

The devil wants you to believe that God’s hands are closed, that God is withholding what you need.  He wants you to believe that God has it but He’s just not giving it to you.  And that God is blessing some very special people but when it comes to you, well God is still thinking whether or not to bless you.  Listen, the devil is a LIAR always has been and always will be.  First of all if God’s hands were closed what He has already given is more than we will ever need.  He gave us Jesus Christ His only begotten Son.  Romans 8:32 says, “He that spared not His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” See how much God wants you to have all?  See how open His hand is toward you? Another lie the devil tells is that God’s got what you need and He will give it to you in His own sweet time in other words you may have to wait for years and years and years to get it even though you need it right now.  The devil always wants you to see God as a cruel Father not the loving, caring, concerned Father that He is.  Before the foundations of the world God gave us Jesus (1 Pet 1:18-20).

My child God loves you and He never wants you to beg or plead with Him for what you want  or need.  It’s His good pleasure to give you the kingdom.  He opened His hands to show you His heart receive it all today in Jesus name.

Power To Live!

2 Corinthians 4:10

“Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”

When we receive Christ we receive His death for our life and we receive His Spirit into our reborn spirits.  And His life is there in us in for us to use to live.  We don’t just receive His life for our salvation and then put Him on the shelf in our hearts, behind glass doors and keep Him clean and dusted off as we would a trophy.  No, His life is for us to live!  The life of Christ is power!   1 Corinthians 1:24 says “…Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.”  Power is the ability to act, it’s God’s supernatural, miracle working ability. It’s the same power that God used when He raised Jesus from the dead (Eph.1:19-20).   His life is power to live!

Likewise the same way His life is power to live, His death is power to destroy.  In His death He destroyed principalities and powers and made a show of them openly triumphing over them in it (Col. 2:14-15).  In His death He destroyed the body of sin that we should no longer be servants to sin (Rom. 6:6).  In His death He redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (Gal. 3:13).  And in His death He took all of our sicknesses and diseases and by His stripes we were healed (1 Pet. 2:24).  We received His death before we received His life.

Therefore, it is the revelation of the cross in us, what was accomplished for us through the dying of our Lord Jesus that releases the life of our Lord Jesus in us.  Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”  Now, that my friends is Power!

Success Is Given

Joshua 1:8″

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Success is not something we gain, success is something we’ve been given.

However, does this mean that we don’t do anything?  No, of course not.  This means that God is letting us know the ending from the beginning.  This means that whatever God has told you to do, He has promised you success in doing it.  This is why we don’t give up because success has already been given.  It would be unjust for God to tell us to do something knowing that we might fail.  Imagine Jesus saying “lay hands on the sick and they might recover and they might not.”  Do you think the disciples  would have wanted to lay hands on the sick if they knew there was a possibility of the sick not recovering? Would you?   No, Jesus said “…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they SHALL recover” (Mark 16:18).  God tells us to do a thing, gives us the ability to do it and guarantees our success in doing it.

After Moses’s death Joshua was afraid and he lacked the courage he needed to lead the people of Israel over into their promise land.  However, God reassured Joshua by saying “there shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage for unto this people shalt thou divde for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them” (Joshua 1:5-6).  God told Joshua what to do, gave him the ability to do it and guaranteed his success.

The world works to get success, we work because we’ve been given success.   Even when it looks like you’re not succeeding, maybe a door has closed, or maybe you were going in a direction and you’ve had to change course and start in a another, God is with you.  He told Joshua “…for the lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9).  Because  He has guaranteed you success He is leading and guiding you into that success.

God gave us success when He gave us Jesus for without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5).

He Gave For You To Receive

free, gave, giving, Receive, receiving

Isaiah 53:5

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed.”

When I think about giving, I realize that it’s impossible to do unless you are giving to someone or something even if it is yourself.   Therefore, giving implies that someone will receive.  Even if you really don’t want to give or assume that the person will not receive there is still the expectation of someone receiving.  And when you really want someone to receive something that you give, you will go to whatever lengths to see to it that they get it.

This is exactly what God did for us.  He sent His only Son into this world to take our sins upon Himself, receive the wrath and punishment of sin and die on the cross so that we could receive His life.  God crushed His only begotten Son to give to us His life.  That’s how much He wanted us to receive; and His giving was born out of His love.  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).  God gave to us with the expectation that we would receive.

However, the devil wants you to believe that God really doesn’t want you to receive.  He wants you to believe that God has a tight hand, and that He’s not as free giving as He says He is.  Or that God only gives based on our efforts and merits.  If you’re good you might get it and if you’re bad you can forget it.  He wants to block you from receiving what God has freely given.  Because if you think that God doesn’t want to give or that you have to work to get it you might not receive it.  Romans 8:32 says, “He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”  God crushed His own Son to give to us His life.  That’s how much he wanted us to receive.

So why do you take so little when He has given so much?  Receive ALL because He expects you too.
