2 Corinthians 9:8

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”

Nothing can stop God’s grace towards you, nothing.  God is able to cause His grace to continuously increase in your life so that no matter what crops up in your life His grace is there to provide.  In other words you will never be without His grace.

Here is what this really means to us.  It means that unemployment can’t stop His grace of provision; sickness can’t stop His grace of healing; depression can’t stop His grace of joy and tribulation and persecution can’t stop His grace of deliverance.  Nothing can stop His grace from flowing in your life.  Romans 8:35 says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”  Paul goes on to say in verse 37 “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that love us.”  God commended His love toward us when He gave us His Son and God doesn’t give and take back. Even amidst all these things God’s grace abounds towards us.

Therefore, stop thinking that God doesn’t see, hear and know your situation.  He does and He is providing for you.  Throughout Israel’s journey in the wilderness God’s grace was abounding towards them.  Their clothes didn’t get old, their shoes didn’t wear out, and they had food to eat and water to drink right in the midst of the desert because God’s grace was abounding towards them. But they were too busy complaining instead of looking for God’s grace.

Take the time today to see how God’s grace is abounding toward you in your situation. If you are unemployed and believing for a job, don’t look at what you don’t have, look for God’s grace instead.  See how God’s grace is providing for you in the midst of your situation.  When you do you will see that you always having all sufficiency in all things are able to abound in every good work.

God Is Our Provider

Before the fall Adam didn’t work to provide for his basic needs God provided for Adams needs. But after the fall God told Adam “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground…” (Gen 3:19).  Well, if Adam didn’t have to work for his needs why did he work?  I believe God gave Adam the job of dressing and keeping the garden so that Adam could display the gifts and talents that God created in him and so that Adam at the end of the day could look at what he had done and say it is good.

God never intended for us to work for our needs this is why Jesus tells us to “take no thought for your life” (Matthew 6:25).  If he wanted us to work for our needs he would have said get a good paying job so you can provide for your needs.  No, we work to display the gifts and talents that God has created in us.

Does this mean we don’t have to work? Absolutely not.  God will use our gifts and talents to bring increase and provision into our lives.  What he wants us to know is that our jobs are not our source of supply, he is.

Many people are without jobs today and they are praying for God to give them jobs. But their prayers are not God give me a job so that I can display the gifts and talents you have created in me; but it’s God give me a job so that I can provide for my needs.  God is our provider, our source and our resource not our jobs.  When you know, understand and believe this it removes the stress and fear from your life.

Just think if you were a billionaire and you lost your job, would you care? Would you worry about how you’re going to feed your family? I don’t think so.  Well, that is the way we should be everyday of our lives whether you’re lost your job or not.  We have Jesus Christ, who is better than a billion dollars.  He is our provider and he has and he will continue to meet your needs.

Releasing The Power Within

Ephesians 3:14-21

When Paul saw that the church at Ephesus was about to give up, he prayed that they would be strengthened with power by Christ’s spirit in the inner man and then that Christ would dwell in their hearts by faith.  I used to think when Paul prayed this prayer he was praying that they become believers but then I realized they were already believers.  So why would Paul pray this prayer?  Well, I believe that Paul was praying that the church would receive a deeper revelation of the grace of God. Paul goes on to pray that they “being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.” The breadth, length, depth and height is a picture of the cross.  The Holyspirit was praying through Paul that we all receive a deeper revelation of the finished work of calvary because the more we come to know, understand and believe in what Christ has accomplished for us on the cross the more that his life would be operative in us.  It is His grace that releases His faith, that releases His power within us.

Paul goes on to pray  “now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”  Yes God can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think but it is according to the power that worketh in us.  If we don’t know how to release the power that is in us it will never benefit us.  Yes it is there but it is not being use and therefore God is limited as to how much He can do in your life. For example, you could go to Best Buy and purchase a dvd player,  get it home, plug it up and play dvds but if you don’t read the manual you will never know all of its capabilities. You might not ever be able to record other dvds or record your favorite tv shows or do anything else that it can do.  The power to do it would be there but you wouldn’t know that you have it because you’ve never read the manual. Power that worketh is power that is being used. Christ is the power that is in us and the Word of God is the manual.  The more revelation of Christ that we receive, the more of His power that will be working in us and then God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think.

When I get a revelation of  Christ as my healer, I receive His faith for healing and that faith releases His power of healing  within me.  And with His power of healing working God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I ask or think in my body. Likewise, when I get a revelation of Christ as my provider, I receive His faith that releases His power of provision within me and with His power of provision working God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I ask or think in my finances.

Okay, now that you know how to release the power of Christ within you, it really doesn’t matter what tribulation, persecution or trouble you are facing you don’t have to give up. You are loaded with power. All you need to do is pick up the manual, the Word of God and ask the Holyspirit to give you a revelation of Jesus Christ in His grace for your situation and you will receive His faith that releases His power within you and God will do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think on your behalf.
