Real Prosperity

Money, prosperity, Real Prosperty, riches, wholeness

Today many people are looking for quick fixes and overnight successes.  Most don’t really know what real prosperity is.  Real prosperity is not some quick fix or winning lotto ticket.  Real prosperity is Christ in us. Christ is our prosperity and because of that we prosper in every area of our lives.

Prosperity happens the moment we accepts Jesus Christ into our lives not when we see manifestations. That’s why it’s important for us to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and not give up.  Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Salvation is the all inclusive word for all the acts of redemption which includes prosperity.  “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich” (II Cor. 8:9). Therefore, the moment we call upon the name of the Lord we prosper even when we don’t see the manifestations of that prosperity.  It’s not what we do that prospers us we prosper what we do because of Christ in us.  Psalms 1:3 says, “…whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

God blessed Abraham and he was a prosperous man. Genesis 24:35, “And the Lord hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great; and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.”  Abraham was a prosperous man because the Lord had blessed and favored him not because of anything that Abraham did. When Abraham was in Egypt God caused Pharaoh to bless him. Genesis 12:26 “And he entreated Abram well for her sake; and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.” God’s favor was upon Abraham and Sarah and Pharaoh gave to them abundantly.   But does this mean that we should do nothing? Absolutely not, remember Psalms 1:3 says, “…whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”  Therefore, if you’re not putting your hands to anything what are you causing to prosper?

When God blessed Adam in the Garden of Eden Adam had the responsibility to use the blessing to keep and dress the garden. He had the responsibility to prosper and expand the garden.  Likewise, we are responsible to advance the kingdom of God in the earth.  When Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream of seven prosperous years and seven years of famine in Egypt he instructed Pharaoh to store up during the prosperous years against the years of famine.  Joseph used the blessing to not only save his family but also the families of Egypt.

So the question is how are you using the power of prosperity that’s in you to advance the kingdom of God in the earth? Christ is in you to prosper whatever you do.  As believers we don’t have to work to become prosperous because we have inherited all things in Christ.  Our job is to use what we’ve been given to be a blessing.

Ruth 2:14

“And Boaz said unto her, at mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar.  And she sate beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.

“Ruth being a Moabitess was not entitled to anything that Boaz had.  Like the Syrophenician woman who say to Jesus “Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master’s table” (Matt. 15:27) Ruth was willing to take the scrapes the reapers left behind.  But because Ruth had made Naomi’s God her God, God granted her favor.

God’s favor placed Ruth in the right place at the right time and caused Boaz to take notice of her.  God’s favor caused her to be seated among the reapers!  No longer would she be one that begged for scrapes, she would be entitled to take in the harvest!God has favored us through the His Son Jesus Christ.  We have been grafted into the family of God and are entitled to take in the harvest! We are no longer are standing on the outside of Eden Jesus blood has put as back on the inside of Eden where all the goodness that God  intended for us to have is at our disposal.  Good health, prosperity, peace of mind are all ours for the taking.

Reapers are those that gather in, it’s up to you how much you want to take in but you must do the taking, you must do the gathering in.  Naomi and Ruth returned to Bethlehem because Naomi heard that there was bread and when they got there Ruth didn’t sit around waiting, she said, “Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace…” (Ruth 2:2).    If Ruth had never gotten up to go she never would have been in the right place at the right time.

God has given us His unmerited, unmeasurable favor, all things are ours through Jesus Christ.  Therefore, what are you waiting for?  Gather in as much as you want!
