Mark 11:24
“Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

There is no middle ground between asking and receiving when we ask we receive.  I know that many of you might say that waiting is the middle ground; we ask, wait for it to happen and then receive.  But that is not what the scripture says, the scriptures says “…what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Our receiving what we ask for is based on what God has done through Christ.  Romans 8:32 :He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”  God has freely given us all things through Christ.  Our receiving is based on the finished work of Calvary.

Jesus said, “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you” (John 16:23).  Whatever we ask the Father in Jesus name he gives it to us because Jesus has meant all the righteous requirements of the law for us, gave us access into presence of God, and made us joint-heirs with him of all things.

When we ask the Father in Jesus name we receive because the Father has  given us all things through Christ.
